Allow file filtering i.e ignore .zip, .ost, .exe, ....  or "ignore all files larger than X size"

    Dear David,

We do not apply a filter for file extension, it is a current technology barrier.

Is this limitation expected to be lifted or will it continue. If I can't send a back-up to my folder because it won't be synced, why would I use you?

I agree, with a file size limit so small the service is useless as a backup...

So, like what @Bmcgreevey said, is this going to continue? Looks like there's so much restrictions on the files you guys would allow.

This upgrade is on our roadmap and we are already working on increasing the file size limit as we also think that this limit needs to be expanded.

I think it's a cool service but is virtually unusable for me because of the file size limit.  As time goes on we continue to increase bandwidth and file sizes of things we want to share.  Congrats on the site and products but until you raise the file size limit to at least 3-4gb... I can not see myself using it.

Having said that, I am not knocking a free service.. and appreciate the opportunity to use it and realize the cost of such a service from a provider standpoint but that simply doesn't change the fact that I can throw things on my 21gb free Dropbox acct with impunity.

Thank you very much for the compliments, we try to do our best. The increasing of the file size limit is on our roadmap and we really hope that you will be able to enjoy the extended file size limit soon.

I was really excited to see the update today!  I immediately went to sync files.  Unfortunately there is still the file size limit :(  is there any news as to when this will be increased?  I would love to actually be able to use this service.

Just to add my $0.02, if the file size limit were to be significantly increased, I'd be seriously compelled to switch from Dropbox. I do hope to see this enhancement soon!

For the record, while I will be storing a large number of files on Tresorit, I have no intention of storing large sized files, so the size limitation will not affect my use of your service.  My intention is to use Tresorit to store what I consiider to be sensitive and confidential documents, mostly PDF's and ODF's, across platforms.

That said, I'm glad your plans include increasing the size limitations, because I figure it's not all about me.  ;^)

This file size limit frankly kills the service stone dead.

Is still the case? I want to use tresorit, but cannot guarantee that all my files are less than 500MB

    Hi Everyone,

No, we have managed to increase the file size limits we offer. So the current limits are the following:

    Business - 10GB

    Premium - 5GB

    Basic - 500MB

Hope these limits are more to your liking. Have a nice day!
