Cloud Browser is the file and tresor browsing window in your Tresorit app.
Tresorit is designed in a way that you can connect more devices to your account: it means that you are able to log in, browse and sync all your files from other computers and mobile devices. However when you first log in on a new desktop device you will see that none of your tresors are synced: that means that files and tresors are not yet available locally. This is what Cloud Browser was created for: it is a solution that lets you see your tresor's content without the need of syncing the entire tresor to your computer.
The Cloud Browser is ideal in cases when you need just a single file: you can find a picture easily in your photo backup tresor or find a file in one of your not synced tresors. The Cloud Browser will help you manage your files in the cloud. You can get an encrypted link to a file, see its versions, edit or move files within a tresor or even delete it from the cloud without the need of downloading the entire tresor.
- Open the Tresorit desktop app and log in.
- Click on any of your tresors and its content will be displayed on the right side of the client.
For easier access you can choose between <list> and <grid view>: in case of photo libraries thumbnails in the grid view will help a big time to find the file you need.
Double click any files you need and it will open up quickly. Please note that since the tresor is not synced any changes you make won’t sync automatically: if you modify the file, you will have to re-upload the latest version via the Cloud Browser. In case of editing small files via the Cloud Browser you will be able to change them without the download/upload process by enabling the <Direct File Open> feature under <Settings> on Windows or <Preferences> on Mac.
