Sub-processors and third-party service providers
As any other business, we engage third-parties and affiliated companies as service providers to provide, improve, protect and promote our Services and to support our business.
This page provides important information about these service providers.
1. Third-party Sub-processors
Where we act as a data processor on behalf of our Customers, we use third-party processors with access to certain Company Personal Data (as defined in our Data Processing Agreement) (each a "Sub-processor") to provide the Tresorit Services. In particular, we use third party Sub-processors to provide infrastructure services, and to help us provide customer support and email notifications. We require our third-party Sub-processors to use the personal data that we share with them solely in connection with the services they provide to us. Also, access to these systems is regulated by our strict internal security policies (in accordance with ISO 27001) and requires two-step verification.
Where Company Personal Data is transferred to a Sub-processor in a third country outside of the EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses as a transfer mechanism.
