Tresorit offers an unattended installation on Windows computers. Read on to learn how you can streamline the setup process in your organization.
📝 Note: Silent install requires advanced computer management skills and admin rights.
Before you start
As a very first step, we recommend that you run a test installation on one of the computers where you want to use Tresorit. By doing this, you can check if Tresorit's proxy AutoDetect passes your company’s proxy settings. If you encounter proxy issues during the test, then you will need to include the proxy settings in the silent install as well.
Deploy Tresorit for multiple computers
- Download the Tresorit installer from our website.
- Run Tresorit.exe with the following script:
/s /v"/quiet /qn" /v"SCRIPTEDINSTALL=true"
- Tresorit will automatically run the next time you start your computer, or you can manually start the application directly from your desktop or start menu.
Manage proxy settings
By default, Tresorit will automatically detect your proxy settings. However, this setting won’t work for certain proxy types – in these cases, manual setup is required. This can be done later directly in the client or during the scripted installation.
/s /v"/quiet /qn" /v"PROXYDATA=proxyserver.com:5577,http,manual" /v"SCRIPTEDINSTALL=true"
Possible parameters for PROXYDATA
Mandatory parameters: hostname, port, and proxy type.
Optional parameter: detection mode
