Apps get updated for different reasons. Sometimes we release new features or refresh how things look, other times updates address bugs. Updates are important, and so by default if you are logged in, your Tresorit app will automatically update to the latest available Tresorit version.
However there migh be cases when this won’t happen and you have to start the update process manually. You can do it easily, it won’t take more than a minute.
Please follow these instructions:
- Sign in to the Tresorit desktop app on you windows computer and open the app
- Click <Settings> on the left sidebar, it will open a pop-up window
- In a couple of seconds/minutes (depending on your network connection) “new version available” warning will appear under the <About> section in the upper right corner.
- Click on Update button to get the latest version.
The updater is going to close the application for a few seconds. Don’t worry, as soon as you have the latest version you won’t have to log in again. But please note that for you convenience the app won’t pop up, so you will have to open it from your system tray.
