Owners of a tresor can edit, delete and reshare files and subfolders or delete the whole folder. By default, you own the tresors you create, but it is possible to transfer this role.
How to transfer the owner role
After you complete these steps, you will be demoted to a Manager, which means that you will still be able to reshare, edit and delete the content of the tresor.

- Open Tresorit.
- Navigate to your tresors list.
- Click on the tresor.
- Click Sharing and Members.
- Click on a member's role.
- Select Owner from the dropdown.
- Click Apply, then Confirm to save changes.
- All done!
- Open Tresorit.
- Navigate to your tresors list.
- Click on the tresor.
- Click Sharing and Members.
- Click on a member's role.
- Select Owner from the dropdown.
- Click Apply, then Confirm to save changes.
- All done!
- Open Tresorit.
- Locate the folder you want to leave.
- Tap the arrow icon on the right.
- Select Share from the list of actions.
- Tap on a Member's name.
- Tap Owner.
- Tap Transfer ownership on the pop-up to confirm.
- All done!
- Open Tresorit.
- Locate the folder you want to leave.
- Tap the three dots on the right.
- Select Share from the list of actions.
- Tap the three dots next to the member's name.
- Tap Change member permission.
- Select Owner.
- Tap Change.
- Tap Transfer ownership to confirm.
- All done!
- Open Web Access.
- Navigate to your tresors list.
- Hover over the tresor.
- Click on the number of members.
- Select the member you want to promote and open the dropdown.
- Select Owner.
- Click Transfer ownership to confirm.
- All done!
