Tresorit is designed in a way that you can connect more devices to your account: it means that you are able to log in, browse and sync all your files from other computers and mobile devices.
If you need just a single file you can download it via the Tresorit Web Access, or if you have the Tresorit app installed you can browse and get it via the Cloud Browser. In case of the Web Access and for big file editing in the Cloud Browser don’t forget that changes won’t sync automatically: if you modify the file, you will have to re-upload it via one of the above mentioned options. If you edit small files via the Cloud Browser you will be able to change them without the download/upload process by enabling the ‘Direct file open’ feature under settings.
If you need the content of complete folders, use the sync toggle on your tresors: you can download only the specific folder(s) you need on any computer. It's especially handy if you want to save space on netbooks and other computers with small hard drives.
To sync only specific folders, head to your Tresorit desktop app and log in with your existing account.
If you log in on a new desktop device you will see that none of your tresors are synced: that means that files and tresors are not yet available and changes you make on your computer will not be synced back to the cloud thus they will not be available on your other devices.
- Select the tresor you wish to sync from the tresor list and the Sync option will appear on the right sidebar of the Tresorit App.
- Click on the < Sync > button.
- Select a folder in the pop-up window where you want to sync your tresor's content. Even if you log out from Tresorit your chosen tresor’s content will be available locally here. Changes will sync when you log in to Tresorit at this computer.
You can easily find locally synced tresor in your tresor list later on: there will be a small green tick in the bottom-right corner of the icon of all synced tresors and you can also see the path under the name of your tresors. You are done, the tresor is synced.
