You can connect multiple devices to your Tresorit account to enable syncing files and folders between them.
Download or edit a single file
If you need a single file you can download it through Tresorit Web Access. If you have the app installed you can also find it there with the browser. Changes won’t sync automatically if you use Web Access or edit files bigger than the file limit set to your subscription. If you modify these files, you will have to re-upload them.
📝Note: When sync is off, it means that files and tresors are not yet available locally and changes you make on your computer will not be synced back to the cloud and therefore will not be available on your other devices.
Syncing multiple files or folders
If you need the content of complete folders, you can sync them to your computer. You can find this option on the right action panel after selecting a tresor.
You can also set up which sub-folders you want to sync from a tresor. With selective sync, only the selected folders will sync to your devices, which comes in handy if you don’t have enough space on your hard drive to store all the data.
Toggle sync on your first sign‑in
To sync only specific folders, head to your Tresorit desktop app and log in with your existing account. If you log in on a new desktop device, you will see that none of your tresors are synced.

- Select the tresor you wish to sync from the tresor list.
- Click Sync on the right sidebar.
- Select a folder in the pop-up window where you want to sync your tresor's content. Even if you log out from Tresorit, your chosen tresor’s content will be available locally here. Changes will sync when you log into Tresorit on this computer.
Synced tresors are marked with a checkmark . If you hover, you can also find their access path on your computer.

Sync is not available on mobile devices yet. However, you have the option to download files, folders and tresors. In this case, changes you make won’t sync automatically, so make sure to keep these files up to date.
