Tresorit Engage Rooms offers a secure, end-to-end encrypted workspace for organizing and sharing files with clients and partners. The Tasks tab enhances project management by providing a centralized platform for task creation, assignment, status tracking, and notifications. This feature clarifies responsibilities and timelines, facilitating collaboration and boosting stakeholder productivity.
What you can do in Tasks
- Add – Create tasks with specific details and assign them to team members.
- Review – View tasks by ID, title, assignee, and status.
- Search – Quickly find tasks by searching their titles.
- Filter – Narrow down tasks by status, assignee, or type.
📝 Note: Tasks cannot be moved between rooms. However, you can transfer task ownership by adding the new owner to the room – this will grant them access to all content.
Task types and their attributes

Simple tasks help you assign, track, and manage responsibilities within a room.
Title: Titles are unencrypted by default so they appear clearly in email notifications. If you choose to encrypt the title, notifications will reference the task ID.
Assignee: You can assign a task to one or multiple people (up to 100). If an assignee appears grayed out, they haven't yet registered with Tresorit.

Description: Add task details in up to 500 characters.
Attachment: Attach files from your computer or Tresorit folders. Attached documents can be previewed directly within the task.
Deadline: Tasks use soft deadlines – assignees can still complete them after the due date. A reminder is sent two calendar days before the deadline.
Status: Task status must be updated manually as progress is made.
eSign requests use Tresorit’s integrated signing solution to securely collect simple or EU Qualified electronic signatures from partners and clients.
Attributes: Title and description are the same as for simple tasks.
Signer: Both room members and external parties can sign documents. – in such cases, the signing link must be shared via a secure channel. Documents can be signed by room members or external parties. For non-members, always share the signing link through a secure channel.
Document: Only PDF files are supported. Ensure the files are not encrypted or password-protected. You can select documents from your computer or Tresorit folders.
Signature type: Choose between eSignatures or EU Qualified eSignatures, depending on your needs and available credits.
Deadline: eSign requests have hard deadlines – once passed, the signing link expires, and the request cannot be completed. A reminder is sent two calendar days before the due date.
Status: Automatically updates – the request will be marked as completed once all signatures are collected.
Restrictions: Only room Owners and Managers can create requests. An eSign license is required to create signature tasks. If credits run out, an error message will appear – admins can top up credits in the Admin Center.

Document requests are designed to collect files from room members securely.
Attributes: Title, description, and deadline are the same as for simple tasks.
Assignee: Only room members can complete document requests.
Document location: Specify where you'd like to collect the request files.
Status: The status must be updated manually as progress is made.
Restrictions: Each request can include up to 100 files, with a total upload limit of 5 GB.
