Sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

If your company uses Tresorit and is subject to GDPR, you need to sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA). This agreement defines how Tresorit handles your business data.

Requirements

• A Professional, Business, or Enterprise subscription.
• You are the subscription owner.
• Your trial period has ended.

Sign the DPA

1. Open Billing in your Admin Center.
2. Scroll to Data Processing Agreement.
3. Click Sign now.

4. Review your billing information in the pop-up.

   ℹ️ This data will appear in the DPA. Update it if needed.

5. Click Request DPA.
6. You will receive an email from DocuSign on behalf of Tresorit.
7. Click Review document.
8. Only proceed if you have legal authority to sign. If not, reassign the signatory role.
9. Read the Agreement regarding electronic records and signatures and agree to it.
10. Click Continue.
11. Carefully review the pre-signed DPA by Tresorit and confirm your company information.
12. Click Sign at the bottom of the page.
13. Add your signature and click Adopt and Sign.
14. Click Finish.

You can track your DPA status and restart or cancel the process if needed.

ℹ️ If you interrupt the DPA process three times, automated signing will be disabled. Contact us for manual processing.

Reassign the signatory role

If you can't sign the DPA as the subscription owner, assign the role to someone who can sign for your company.

1. Complete steps 1-7 of the DPA process.
2. Click Other Actions.
3. Select Assign to Someone Else.
4. Enter the new signer's name and email.
5. Provide a reason for the reassignment.
6. Click Assign to Someone Else.
7. The new signer will receive an email and continue the process from step 8.

After signing

• The signed DPA will be sent to the signatory's email.
• The DPA becomes a binding addendum to the Terms of Service.
• The subscription owner will receive a confirmation email.
• The signed DPA can be viewed and downloaded from the Billing page.
