The cloud is a great solution to share and store contracts, reports, and presentations. Office 365 documents can be autosaved to the cloud, providing a backup for your important files. Convenient for most, OneDrive is not a privacy-focused cloud solution and lacks the safeguards needed to secure confidential data.
Tresorit offers a secure alternative by using end-to-end encryption to protect your cloud content. Store files, roll back to previous versions or invite collaborators and decide who can view, edit and reshare files.
π Note: Depending on your plan, some features in this article may not be available for you and your team. Check out our pricing page for more details.
Create & Upload
Tresorit was designed to fit in your workflow, so you don't have to learn a new system from scratch. Save and edit files just like you always did, from your file browser and Office 365 apps.
Add files to the cloud
Drag & drop files from your desktop to upload them to the cloud or convert folders to encrypted tresors while keeping your local folder structure untouched. You can sync and upload files from their original location.
Open and edit small files
Enable Direct File Open under settings to view and edit smaller files (up to 48 MB) directly from your Tresorit app. These changes will be saved to the cloud automatically even if the file is in a tresor thatβs not syncing at the moment.
π Pro tip: Integrate Tresorit Drive to your local file manager to upload and access files without storing them locally.
Secure collaboration
Tresorit allows you to access work files and collaborate with colleagues securely from anywhere, on any device. Whether you need to review a presentation on-the-go or update the latest client proposal, Tresorit puts everything at your fingertips.
Sync files to the cloud
Turn on sync on your local folders to edit documents from your desktop through Office apps. Tresorit will update your files in real time and automatically adds any edits you make to your online backup.
π Pro tip: You can also save your Office files directly to the cloud. When you browse for a saving location, synced tresors will appear just like any other folder in your computer.
Invite members to tresors
Collaborate on files with your team through Tresorit: add members to your tresor and decide who can manage, add, edit or view your documents. Tresorit will automatically sync changes between your devices, guaranteeing that you always work on the most recent files.
Share your documents
Eight out of ten files you work with contain confidential information. Protect your link with a password, add an expiration date or set a download limit. Track link downloads and revoke your link any time.
Share your content with a link
Create secure links to share your documents and folders with others. Keep control by setting up download limits, expiration dates and a password for extra protection, or track link downloads.
Stay in control with our link audit tools
Track individual link opens through Access Logs to log the platform, IP address and approximate location for open attempts. You can also require an email verification on links from those who wish to download your content. These email addresses will be listed in your access logs as well.
Replace risky email attachments
With our Outlook add-in you can attach secure link to your emails without switching to Tresorit. Similarly to link sharing in the Tresorit app, you can set up download limits, expiry dates and a password to the links you send.
Roll back and restore
Sometimes important paragraphs, catchphrases and comments are lost in review cycles or files get deleted by accident. Tresorit stores file versions and deleted files, ensuring that no data will get lost.
Recover previous file versions
Tresorit updates your files in real-time and automatically logs edits. This way you can easily track revisions and solve version conflicts in a collaborative folder. And when you need to, you can easily roll back or download an earlier version of your file.
Restore deleted files and folders
You can view, download or restore files and folders that were previously deleted from a tresor. File restore also works in synced tresors: when you delete a file from your computer by accident you may be able to restore it with Tresorit.
