Tresorit Drive gives you access to your files and folders stored on the cloud directly through your computer’s file browser, regardless of whether they are synced or not.
By enabling Tresorit Drive, there’s no need to sync and store data on a hard drive or SSD. This makes for a good security measure to protect your files in case of theft or hacking.
📝 Note: Accessing your files through Tresorit Drive and Web Access will be slower than other Tresorit apps because files and folders are downloaded to your computer and decrypted each time you open them.

Does Tresorit require any additional permissions to run Direct File Open or Tresorit Drive on Mac?
While Tresorit itself runs in the user space, kernel access is required for Tresorit Drive. We access the kernel via FUSE, a third-party application that is specifically designed for separating the application from the kernel.
Download and install FUSE following the walkthrough steps. Please note that you will need Admin rights on MacOS for this installation and to enable Direct file open and Tresorit Drive.
Access limits in Tresorit Drive

Broken link in Outlook
When you attach a Tresorit Drive file to an Outlook email, choosing the Share link option will cause a bug in Outlook and recipients won't be able to open your link. If you want to attach Tresorit Drive files, always opt for the Attach as copy option.
