What is Single Sign-On?
Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication method that lets users sign into different independent platforms using the same credentials, providing a smoother sign-in experience for users and simplifying administrative processes for admins.
Currently, Tresorit offers SSO integrations with three providers: Azure Active Directory, Google and Okta.
Why enable SSO for Tresorit
When you set up SSO for Tresorit, your users can sign in to Tresorit using their Azure AD, Google or Okta credentials, and they’ll no longer need to remember a separate password for Tresorit. SSO simplifies signing in on all platforms that we support: Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux and on the web.
🏆 Pro tip: You don’t need to enable SSO for all users within your subscription, you can choose to enable it only for certain user groups in Policies.
Before you start using SSO, please read our privacy guide to understand the security implications of Single Sign-On.
You can integrate Tresorit with your identity provider on a self-service basis through your provider’s dashboard. The next step is activating SSO in Tresorit’s Admin Center.
🏆 Pro tip: There is another way to integrate your identity provider to Tresorit, via a custom provisioning application to make it easier and faster to manage your users. The integration is only available for the Enterprise plan and currently supported within Azure AD and Okta. For more details please visit this page: Introduction to SCIM provisioning
