Tresorit is hosted with Microsoft Azure Servers and in principle, we are currently using data centers in Europe (in Ireland and the Netherlands). Since July of 2021 the data of Swiss customers will be stored in Switzerland by default.
Tresorit customers in Business Plus and Enterprise service plans may choose a major geographic area where certain types of data at rest are stored ("Data Residency Option"). Since November of 2023 for customers of Business Plus and Enterprise service plans certain types of data at rest are stored in their billing country by default in case Tresorit offers a "Data Residency Option" in the country. These customer may change their location of data any time.
