Use camera upload to automatically upload photos, screenshots, saved images, and videos from your mobile device to Tresorit.
Before you begin
- For reliable uploads, enable mobile data usage for Tresorit.
- Tresorit identifies files by their timestamps. Changing time zones may cause files to be uploaded again. If you frequently change time zones, temporarily disable the feature or upload only newly taken photos.
Files are uploaded to the dedicated
Camera Uploads folder. You cannot choose a different upload location.
ℹ️ This folder is intended for uploads, not long-term storage. Keep it below 20 GB.

- Android
- Open Tresorit.
- Tap
Settings.
- Tap Camera Upload.
- Toggle on Camera Upload.
Configure the settings:
- Upload Automatically
- Upload New Photos Only
- Include Videos
- Upload in Background
Prevent Auto-Lock
ℹ️ iOS strictly limits background activity. To ensure all files are uploaded, keep the app open until the upload is complete.
- Keep original image formats
- Open Tresorit.
- Tap the three dots
in the top right.
- Tap
- Toggle on Camera uploads.
- Configure the settings:
- Allow Tresorit to run in the background
- Upload mode
- What to upload
