For security and privacy reasons, passwords are not stored on Tresorit servers, so access cannot be restored once it is lost. If you’ve forgotten your password and aren’t signed in on any device, the only option is to reset your account.
ℹ️ If you’re part of a business subscription with Advanced Control enabled, contact your administrator to reset your password.
Before you begin
- Account information and all stored files and folders will be erased.
- Active subscriptions remain valid and will reconnect automatically when the account is recreated using the same email address.
- Locally synced copies on the device will stay intact and can be uploaded again later.
- If no local copies exist but folders were shared with others, verify whether collaborators can still access the content. If so, back up the files to a computer before resetting the account to avoid data loss.
- Open Web Access.
- Click Cannot sign in?
- Choose I'm not logged into my Tresorit account on any of my devices.
- Select Reset my Tresorit account.
- Enter your email address, then click Reset my Tresorit account.
- In the email you received, click Reset account.
- Confirm the reset by clicking Reset account.
- Click Create new account.
- Sign up again using the same email address.
- In the verification email, click VERIFY EMAIL.
- Click Get started to access your account.
