Tresorit Send provides a secure way to share files without using email attachments or public transfer services. Files are end-to-end encrypted on your device before upload and remain protected during transfer.
Before you begin
- Make sure your file is final before sharing – links cannot be edited or updated after creation.
- Anyone with the link can view and download your shared files.
- For maximum protection, share the link and the password via separate channels (e.g. email for the link, SMS for the password).
Limits and restrictions
Tresorit Send has the following limits:
- Maximum file size: 5 GB per upload
- Maximum total upload size: 5 GB at once
- Up to 100 files can be uploaded at a time
- Each shared file can be downloaded up to 10 times
ℹ️ Tresorit Send is not available in Internet Explorer.
Create a link
- Go to the upload page.
- Click the
icon on the left.
- Select the files you want to upload.
- Enter your email address.
- Under Link settings, you can enable:
- Protect link with password for an extra layer of security.
- Email me when someone opens my link to get notified whenever the link is accessed.
- Click Create Secure Link to finish.
- Copy and save the Send link. You can also send it immediately via one of the listed email providers.
- At the same time, the admin link will be sent to your email address.
Revoke a link
Shared links are available for 7 days. After that, files are automatically deleted from our servers.
- If a link is no longer needed or has been compromised, revoke it at any time.
- Revocation is permanent: Once revoked, the link is disabled and no one can access the content.
- The link's activity summary remains available for 14 days after revocation – just open the admin link in the confirmation email.
- You can always create a new link if needed.
Revoke a link manually
- Open your admin link.
- Select Revoke link now.
