Camera uploads is a feature that automatically uploads photos (including screenshots and photos saved to your device) and videos from your mobile device to Tresorit. If you enable the Camera Uploads, Tresorit will create a special "Camera uploads" tresor. This is the encrypted folder, where all your media will be uploaded.
- iOS
- Android
- Open the Tresorit app.
- Tab Settings
- Tap Camera Upload
- Tap the toggle under Camera Upload to activate the feature. This will generate a Camera Uploads tresor where all your media will be uploaded.
On iOS Apple only provides limited ways to run apps in the background and this affects the camera upload feature. Since iOS 13, according to our tests, the system provides about 5 minutes 3 times a day for background processing. This setup may prevent Tresorit from uploading your media in the background when conditions are not ideal (ie. no wifi, low battery, low free disk space). To upload all photos, please keep the app open.
- Open the Tresorit app.
- Open the application
- Tap on the three dots in the upper right corner
- Select Settings
- Switch the toggle to enable „Camera Uploads”
Under the Camera Upload menu, you can select from the following upload options:
- Upload Automatically
- Upload New Photos Only
- Include Videos
- Upload in Background
- Prevent Auto-Lock
Enable Use mobile data in your Tresorit app settings so uploading will not require a wifi connection. Please note that in case of enabling this option additional mobile data charges might apply.
