When you share a file or folder with a Tresorit link, you can prevent recipients from downloading it. They’ll still be able to view the content online, but they won’t be able to save a copy to their device. This setting is ideal if you want to share information securely without allowing others to keep it.
Disable downloads
- Create a new link.
- Open the
Link settings.
- Turn on Disable download.
- Click Save.
When recipients open the link, they can view the content in their browser, and a blue ribbon at the top of the screen indicates that downloads are disabled.

Files without preview
If a file cannot be displayed online, the message No view and no download available will appear. The sender’s email is shown below the filename so they can be contacted directly to request access.
