You don't need to resend links every time you update your files - any changes are automatically reflected in your existing shared links. You can also edit link settings at any time to adjust access, security, or collaboration options.
ℹ️ To share an existing link, select the link and click Copy link.
Edit shared links
Depending on your subscription, you have access to basic or advanced link management features.

Basic settings
- Expiration date – Set how long the link remains active. Default expiration is 30 days.
- Link open limit – Limit how many times the shared link can be opened.
- Password protection – Add a password to protect shared content.
Advanced settings
- Email verification – Require recipients to verify their email before accessing the link.
- Watermark – Add a watermark to safeguard shared files.
- Disable download – Let recipients view files without the option to download them.
- Detailed access logs – View detailed insights about link activity.
- Email notifications – Get an alert each time your link is opened.
- Limit access – Restrict access to specific, approved viewers only.
- Cooperative links – Enable recipients to modify shared content for two-way collaboration.
ℹ️ Subscription owners and admins can predefine sharing and editing settings for all users in the subscription.

- Right-click the link you want to edit.
- Select
Link settings.
- Adjust your link as needed.
- Click Save.
- Open Tresorit.
- Tap
Links at the bottom.
- Tap the arrow icon
next to the link you want to edit.
- Select
Link Settings.
- Tap Link Settings again.
- Adjust your link as needed.
- Open Tresorit.
- Tap

- Tap the three dots
next to the link you want to edit.
- Select
Link settings.
- Tap

- Adjust your link as needed.
- Confirm with SAVE.
- Open
Shared Links in the Web Access.
- Hover over the link you want to edit.
- Click the three dots
on the right.
- Select Edit.
- Click
Link settings.
- Adjust your link as needed.
- Click Save settings.
⚠️ If a link becomes inactive or revoked due to preset restrictions (e.g. expiration date or open limit), it cannot be reactivated. You'll need to create a new link.
Revoke shared links
When you revoke a link, its content becomes immediately inaccessible – even if someone has the link, they won't be able to view or download it anymore.
- Revoked links will be moved to the Inactive links section.
- These links cannot be reactivated, only permanently deleted.
- Access logs for revoked links remain available for 90 days.
⚠️ If your link is protected with a password and someone enters the wrong password 20 times, the link will be automatically revoked for security reasons. In this case, you'll need to create a new link to share your content again.
