Pro tips
Access Tresorit for Outlook with less clicks
While in most cases the Tresorit for Outlook button is easy to find, in some cases, it’s hidden in a menu. To simplify using the add-in, you can customize your Outlook layout to access the add-in with one click.
- Windows
- Mac
- Outlook Web
You can customize the order of actions in the ribbon when composing a new email.
- Open a new mail window.
- Right-click in any empty space in the ribbon.
- Click Customize the Ribbon.
- To change the order of the Tresorit button, select Tresorit in the right panel.
- Click the up or down arrows until the Tresorit button is in the desired spot.
If you’re using the new Outlook layout, you can customize the toolbar when composing a new email. Unfortunately, this is not available for the legacy Outlook design, so if you’re having issues using our add-in, we recommend you switch to the new layout.
- Start composing a new message.
- In the top toolbar, click ..., then select Customize toolbar.
- Drag and drop the Tresorit icon to your desired location (we recommend you put it before Attach).
- Click Done.
In Outlook Web, you can customize the toolbar when composing a new email.
- Go to Settings > Email > Customize actions.
- Scroll down to the bottom.
- In the Toolbar section, make sure that Tresorit is checked.
- Now you can access Tresorit from the bottom toolbar when composing a new email.
