Tresorit can't run directly on a NAS or network drive, so you'll need to set up syncing through a computer that connects to them.
Before you begin
- Always connect the drive before starting Tresorit.
- Always stop Tresorit before disconnecting the drive.
- In the Tresorit app, an orange exclamation mark may appear next to folders linked to a NAS or network drive. This is expected behavior.
Set up sync
- Open the Tresorit desktop app.
- Create a new main folder.
- Right-click the folder and select
Sync this folder.
- Choose the destination folder on the NAS/network drive.
- Wait for the process to finish (a network drive icon
on the folder will confirm when synchronization is finished).
Trigger manual sync
Cloud changes are automatically synced to your NAS or network drive. However, depending on the operating system, edits made directly on the drive may not update in the cloud right away.
If that happens:
- Open the synced folder in Tresorit.
- Click
Sync now in the right panel to trigger a manual sync.
