If you wish to move or rename Tresorit files, you can do it easily in the app even without having to sync or download them.
📚 Pro tip: In general, we recommend syncing your important files to Tresorit to keep them safe and up-to-date on all devices. Working on your files straight out of synced tresors will let you take advantage of many useful features like version history and mobile access.

How to rename files and folders
If you are the owner, manager or editor in a tresor, you can rename files and folders and the parent tresor itself by choosing Rename from their right-click menu.
How to move files and folders
You need to have owner, manager or editor permissions over a particular tresor to be able to move files around. If you are a viewer in a tresor, you can see and download its contents but won’t be able to change the tresor’s structure.
Note: You cannot move files and folders between tresors.

Folders you move will be removed from their original location and you cannot move them between tresors.
- Select the folder you want to move.
- Click Move.
- Click Proceed.
- Select a destination.
- Click Move to finish.
