Tresorit sends you an automatic email every time you log in on a new device, in Web Access, via VPN, or after reinstalling the app.
You can review all device and browser logins in your Tresorit Profile to confirm your account hasn't been compromised.
Check and report IP accuracy
Tresorit uses DB-IP (an external provider) to estimate your access location based on your IP address. The accuracy of this estimate is determined entirely by the provider.
If a notification shows a wrong location, you can check and report it:
- Compare the detected location with your IP on the IP Location website.
- If the locations match, your account is secure. Contact your internet service provider to verify your IP.
- If the location is incorrect, report it at DB-IP:
- Go to the DB-IP website.
- Enter the IP address in the search field.
- Scroll down and click report wrong data.
- Fill out the form and submit the report.
