If you're a member of a folder, you can download its activity as a CSV file.
- This feature is only available on Tresorit desktop apps.
- The report includes details about changes made by you or others.
- Only people with access to the folder can view this information.
ℹ️ You can always view the most recent actions by you or your collaborators in a folder under the Recents tab in your desktop app.
Export the activity logs
- Right-click the folder.
- Select
Activity.
- Click Export .csv.
- Choose a location and click Save.
Understanding the activity fields
The CSV file shows details grouped by feature types. For each action, only the relevant fields will contain data; the rest will be blank.

tresor
The main folder from which the activity log was exported.
timestamp
The date and time when the server recorded the event.
modifierFirstname, modifierLastName, modifierUserEmail
Information about the folder member who performed the action. If the user's account was deleted before the report was generated, these fields may be empty. The identity may also appear as anonymous when actions were performed via a share link.
actionCategory
Specifies the feature group related to the event. Categories include: file, permission, encrypted link, invitation link, live link, and file request.
actionType
Describes the specific type of action within a feature group, such as FileUpdate, LiveLinkDownload, or PermissionInvite.
fileID
A unique identifier for the file within the folder. This value may be missing if the file was permanently deleted before the event was logged.
sourceFileID
The original ID of the file before it was moved, copied, or renamed.
filePath
The file's location within the folder at the time of the event.
sourceFilePath
The original file path before a move, copy, or rename operation. Not available for deleted files.
fileVersion
The new version number of the file after the event. Increments with each action affecting the file (e.g. upload, modify, delete).
fromVersion
The file's version prior the event.
uploaderEmail, isUploaderVerified
Information about the folder member who uploaded the file.
uploadDate
The date and time when the file was uploaded.
liveLinkId
If the file was uploaded via a link, this field contains the identifier of that link (relevant for writable file live links).
fileId
The unique identifier of the file associated with the event.
filePath, pathType
The file's location within the folder where the permission event occurred.
objectFirstName, objectLastName, objectUserEmail
Details of the user affected by the event. These fields may be empty for invitations or for users whose accounts were deleted.
sourceFirstName, sourceLastName, sourceUserEmail
Populated only in the case of ownership transfers; it contains details of the previous folder owner.
fromPermission, toPermission
The user's permission level before and after the event.
fromMembershipState, toMembershipState
The user's membership status in the folder before and after the event.
ℹ️ Encrypted links were replaced by share links, but these entries are still listed in the activity log.
linkID
The unique identifier for the encrypted link. Generated randomly.
subjectFileId
The ID of the file or folder shared via the encrypted link.
subjectFilePath
The path to the shared file or subfolder. If the link points to a folder, this field is empty.
subjectFileVersion
The version of the file or folder at the time it was shared.
fromDownloadLimit, toDownloadLimit
The link's download limit before and after the event.
fromHasExpirationTime, toHasExpirationTime
Indicates whether an expiration date was set before and after the event:
TRUE: An expiration was set.
FALSE: No expiration was set.
fromExpirationTime, toExpirationTime
The expiration timestamp before and after the event. A value of 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z indicates no expiration was set.
linkID
A unique identifier created when a user without a Tresorit account is invited to a folder.
subjectFileId, subjectPath
If the event involves a subfolder within a next-gen folder, these fields specify the subfolder's identifier and path.
fromInvitationLimit, toInvitationLimit
The number of times the invitation link could be opened before and after the event.
fromConstraints, toConstraints
Describes the invitee's email and permission level before and after the change.
fromExpirationTime, toExpirationTime
The expiration date of the invitation link before and after the change.
linkId
The unique ID for the share link used to distribute content.
subjectFileId
The identifier of the shared file or folder.
subjectFilePath
The file or folder path at the time it was shared.
subjectFilePathType
Directory: The shared item is a folder or a subfolder.
File: The shared item is a file.
fromHasOpenLimit, toHasOpenLimit
Indicates whether the link had an open limit before and after the event:
TRUE: An open limit was set.
FALSE: No open limit was set.
fromOpenLimit, toOpenLimit
The number of allowed opens before and after the event. A value of 0 indicates no open limit.
fromHasExpirationTime, toHasExpirationTime
Indicates whether an expiration date was set before and after the event:
TRUE: An expiration was set.
FALSE: No expiration was set.
fromExpirationTime, toExpirationTime
The expiration timestamp of the link before and after the event. A value of 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z indicates no expiration was set.
hasPasswordChanged
Indicates if the link password was modified during the event:
TRUE: The password was set, changed, or removed.
FALSE: No change to the password occurred.
fromIsDownloadDisabled, toIsDownloadDisabled
Indicates whether the option to disable downloads was active before and after the event.
fromEmailNotification, toEmailNotification
Shows whether email notifications were enabled before and after the event.
fromWatermarkContentType, toWatermarkContentType, fromWatermarkPosition, toWatermarkPosition
Details about the watermark feature before and after the event.
fromEmailWhitelistedUsers, toEmailWhitelistedUsers, fromEmailWhitelistSubscriptionAccess, toEmailWhitelistSubscriptionAccess
Defines whether access was restricted to allowed (whitelisted) users before and after the event.
fromIsWritable, toIsWritable
These fields are only populated if the link was a Cooperative Link.
linkId
The unique identifier of the file request link.
fromTitle, toTitle
The title of the file request before and after the event.
fromHasExpirationTime, toHasExpirationTime
Indicates whether an expiration date was set before and after the event:
TRUE: An expiration was set.
FALSE: No expiration was set.
fromExpirationTime, toExpirationTime
The expiration timestamp before and after the event. A value of 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z indicates no expiration was set.
