Collaborating securely with others is simple in Tresorit. When someone shares a folder with you, you'll receive an invitation to join and access its contents. You must accept the invitation before you can view and work on shared files.

Accept invitations
Without a Tresorit account
To collaborate on shared folders, you'll need to create a Tresorit account first. When you receive an invitation email with a sharing link:
- Open the invitation link.
- Enter your email address.
- Enter the verification code sent to your email.
- Click Verify & Continue.
- Click Accept and Sign Up.
- Complete the account creation process.
Once your account is ready, the folder invitation will automatically appear in Tresorit. Follow the steps below (based on your platform) to accept it.
With an existing account
When a folder is shared with you, Tresorit will notify you by email and within the app interface.

- Open the desktop app.
- Find the Folder invitations section at the top.
- Click the shared folder.
- Select Accept.
- The folder will appear in your main folder list.
- Open Tresorit.
- Find the Invitations section at the top.
- Tap the shared folder.
- Tap Accept Invitation.
- The folder will appear in your main folder list.
- Open Tresorit.
- Find the Invitations section at the top.
- Tap the shared folder.
- Tap ACCEPT.
- The folder will appear in your main folder list.
- Open your Web Access.
- Find the Pending folders section at the top.
- Click the shared folder.
- Select Accept invitation.
- The folder will appear in your main folder list.
Decline invitations
If you prefer not to join a shared folder:
- Select Decline.
- Confirm by clicking Decline again.
You won't have access to that folder, but the owner can invite you again later if needed.
