Deleting your Tresorit account is permanent and cannot be reversed. You can delete your account if you know your password and have access to your registered email address.
- If you forgot your password, you can only reset your account.
- If you no longer have access to your email address, contact us.

Prevent data loss
Download your content and transfer folder ownership if needed before deleting your account. After deletion, all data stored in the cloud is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Files already downloaded or synced to your device won't be affected.

- Open your Profile page.
- Scroll to Delete your Tresorit account.
- Click Delete my account.
- Enter your password and click Continue.
- Click OK to confirm.
- Open the account deletion email you received.
- Click Delete account in the email.
- Select a reason and click Permanently delete account.
- Open your Profile page.
- Scroll to Delete your Tresorit account.
- Click Delete my account.
- Click Cancel my subscription.
- Enter your password and click Continue.
- Click OK to confirm.
- Open the account deletion email you received.
- Click Delete account in the email.
- Select a reason and click Permanently delete account.
- Open your Profile page.

ℹ️ If you don't see this section, contact your subscription owner. When Advanced Control is enabled, only admins can delete user accounts.
- Click Delete my account.
- Enter your password and click Continue.
- Click OK to confirm.
- Open the account deletion email you received.
- Click Delete account in the email.
- Select a reason and click Permanently delete account.
Personal data handling
Personal data is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, mainly to maintain your account and provide services. Tax, accounting, or legal obligations may require longer retention.
Data with no ongoing legitimate business use is deleted or anonymized. Data processed on behalf of an organization is governed by the applicable Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and relevant laws.
