If you decide to delete your Tresorit account, note that this action is permanent and cannot be reversed.
You can delete your account if you have access to your registered email address and know your password.
- If you've forgotten your password, proceed with the account reset process.
- If you no longer have access to your email address but want to continue, contact us.

Prevent data loss
Download your content and transfer folder ownership if needed before deleting your account. After deletion, all data stored in the cloud is permanently removed and cannot be restored. Files already downloaded or synced to your device won't be affected.

- Scroll to Delete your Tresorit account.
- Click Delete my account.
- Enter your password.
- Click Continue.
- Confirm deletion by clicking OK.
- Open the account deletion email you received.
- Click Delete account in the email.
- Select a reason.
- Click Permanently delete account.
- Open your Profile page.
- Scroll to Delete your Tresorit account.
- Click Delete my account.
- Click Cancel my subscription.
- Enter your password.
- Click Continue.
- Confirm deletion by clicking OK.
- Open the account deletion email you received.
- Click Delete account in the email.
- Select a reason.
- Click Permanently delete account.
- Open your Profile page.

Personal data handling
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, mainly to maintain your account and provide services. In some cases, laws require or allow longer retention (for example, tax or accounting obligations). Where this applies, data is retained strictly in line with those legal requirements.
If there is no ongoing legitimate business reason to process your personal data, we delete or anonymize it as soon as technically possible.
If we process your data on behalf of your organization, the retention of your data is governed by our data processing agreement with that organization and applicable law.
