Enable Advanced Control

Turn on Advanced Control (AC) for your subscription to add an extra layer of security and unlock additional admin features. When enabled, you can:

• reset user passwords
• remotely wipe lost or stolen devices
• take over folders from departing users

Before you begin

• Users in your subscription will be notified and must accept the changes before they can continue using Tresorit.
• Admin actions are available only for user accounts that have accepted Advanced Control.
• If you disable and later re-enable AC, users must accept the changes again.
• When the feature is enabled, the subscription owner's account cannot be reset. Make sure you know your password or store it in a password manager (such as 1Password or KeePassXC).

Enable Advanced Control

1. Open    Settings in your Admin Center.
2. Click Enable Advanced Control.
3. In the pop-up window, click Continue.
4. Enter your password and click Confirm.

View user acceptance status

1. Open    Users in your Admin Center.

2. Check the Advanced Control column:

   •  Accepted
   •  Pending

   You can send reminder emails:

   1. Hover over a pending user's    icon.
   2. Click Send reminder.

ℹ️ The Advanced Control column disappears once all users have accepted the changes.
