You can collaborate on cloud files by adding others as members to folders. Once added, the shared folder appears in their Tresorit, giving everyone secure access to the same data.
- Every member must have a Tresorit account.
- The shared folder's size counts toward all members' storage quotas.
- Business subscription owners can set additional folder sharing policies.
Access permission levels
When you share a folder, you can assign different permission levels to control what members can do:
Owner: Has full control over the folder and its settings.
Manager: Can read, edit, delete content, share files, and invite others (only with Editor or Viewer permissions).
Editor: Can read, edit, and delete content, but cannot invite others or share folders (only individual files).
Viewer: Can only view and download content.
ℹ️ Permission levels for each member can be adjusted at any time if needed.
Invite members
- You can invite one or more people at once, as well as email groups.
- If you want to assign different permission levels, you need to send separate invitations for each permission group.
- Those who already have a Tresorit account receive an automatic email invitation.
- If a person doesn’t have a Tresorit account yet, you need to send the invitation manually. Their access is activated once they register.
- Invitations are valid for 30 days.
