If you have a Business or Enterprise subscription, you can:
- delete the entire subscription, or
- delete only your account and transfer ownership.
Delete the entire subscription
Before deleting the subscription and your account, remove all users. You have two options:

Remove users
- Users keep their accounts and files.
- Their accounts are downgraded to Basic (free).

Delete users
- All data and account details are permanently deleted.

Access is revoked immediately.
⚠️ This action is irreversible. Ensure users back up their important data before you proceed.
After the subscription has no users:
- Open your Profile page.
- Scroll to Delete your Tresorit account.

Click Delete my account.
ℹ️ If permanent deletion policy is enabled, you must disable it first.
- Click Cancel my subscription.
- Enter your password.
- Click Continue.
- Confirm deletion by clicking OK.
- Open the account deletion email you received.
- Click Delete account in the email.
- Select a reason.
- Click Permanently delete account.
Delete only your account
If the subscription should remain active, transfer the ownership to a Co-admin, then delete your account.
ℹ️ If Advanced Control is enabled, you will need to disable it first before you can transfer the subscription.
- Open your Profile page.
- Scroll to Delete your Tresorit account.

Click Delete my account.
ℹ️ If permanent deletion policy is enabled, you must disable it.
- Choose I delete my own Tresorit account, the subscription will remain.
- Click Continue.
- Click Transfer the ownership.

Select a Co-admin or promote a user first.
ℹ️ Enterprise users can also select a Co-owner.
- Complete the subscription transfer.
- Following the ownership transfer, you can delete your account, or the new owner can delete it.
Personal data handling
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, mainly to maintain your account and provide services. In some cases, laws require or allow longer retention (for example, tax or accounting obligations). Where this applies, data is retained strictly in line with those legal requirements.
If there is no ongoing legitimate business reason to process your personal data, we delete or anonymize it as soon as technically possible.
If you have signed a data processing agreement, data retention is governed by that agreement and applicable law.
