As a Subscription Owner, you can choose from two options when you decide to delete your account. You can either delete the whole subscription (including the plan, user accounts, and all stored data) or just delete your own account and transfer the ownership to someone else.
Before you can delete your account, you will need to remove all users and transfer the subscription to a Co-Admin.
Deleting the whole subscription
As a Subscription Owner, you can delete the whole subscription, including the plan, user accounts and stored data.

As a Subscription Owner, you can delete the whole subscription, including the plan, user accounts and stored data.
Remove: When you remove accounts from the subscription, users will retain their Tresorit accounts, having access to data stored in the cloud. They will be downgraded to a free plan and you will free up a license.
Delete: You also have an option to delete user accounts. This action is irreversible β all stored data will be deleted from the cloud and users wonβt be able to log in to their Tresorit account anymore.
How to delete the subscription
- Open Web Access.
- Click on your name on the right and select Profile.
- Scroll down to the Account deletion section.
- Click Delete account.
- Answer the check-up question.
- Cancel your subscription.
- Enter your password to confirm.
Deleting your account
If you only need to delete your own account, you will have to transfer the subscription ownership to a Co-Admin. Once the transfer is done, the new subscription owner will be able to remove or delete your account.
π Note: If Advanced Control is switched on, you will need to disable it first before you can transfer the subscription.
Personal data handling
We will retain your personal data as long as it is needed for the purposes specified in our Privacy Policy. Such purposes cover e.g. the provision and maintenance of your user account and providing the Tresorit service to you and to other registered Tresorit users as designated by you. However, in certain cases a longer retention period may be required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). In these cases, we will hold your data in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal data, we will either delete or anonymize it as soon as it is technically possible.
If your personal data is held by us on behalf of your company, we will retain such personal data in accordance with the terms and conditions of our data processing agreement with them, subject to applicable law.
